Youth
The Youth Group at Memorial Parkway strives for spiritual and social growth of our young people. The group is comprised of three major areas – High School / Middle School, Elementary, and Preschool.
The High School group (Grades 9-12) and Middle School group (Grades 6-8) are led by our Youth Minister Reed Swindle and his wife Bridget. The youth group meets very regularly, both planned events as well as just hanging out. The group maintains a very spiritually minded schedule with lots of good Christian fun the whole way. This group will often be found playing full-contact dominoes, ultimate Frisbee, ping pong, and, most importantly, eating.
The Elementary Group (Grades 1-5) is led by a committee of parents under the oversight of the Children’s Ministry Deacon, Mike Crawford. The Bible School curriculum is specified by the Education Minister. The Elementary committee plans and promotes activities for the Elementary children and they have a monthly Bible study/Devotional and activity in addition to weekly and mid-week Bible classes. This group focuses on establishing our younger youth in regular Church activities and the development of friendships through activities with other Christian families. This is critical to retention of our youth as they develop and grow and as a feeder program for our older Youth ministry.
